Bruce's Adventure: Part 1

Once upon a time Long time ago, in a small town, a boy was born to find himself surrounded by loving parents and two older brothers. He was called Bruce. Bruce’s family are the leading family of the town, but none of them was arrogant, in fact they lived like all the other people and respected all the people of their town, and all of the people loved them, except one family, “the atterberrys” who claim that they are supposed to be the ones who lead the town according to history and other reasons that no one cared about. People always ignored that family and disrespected them because of their enormous hate for Bruce’s family. Bruce lived as a normal kid who liked to play with his friends and have fun, but the poor kid didn’t know he had a long hard life to come.

By his eleventh birthday, Bruce had so many friends and everyone liked him, but he didn’t know what was waiting for him on that birthday. Bruce’s father (Wayne) took him for a trip to a high mountain that was located not far away from the town. After climbing that long mountain and reaching the top of it, Bruce’s father starting talking finally” are you tired son, you see? That is what it takes to reach your goal, our grandparents fought hard and went through many hard things to reach to their goal and secure us a home and unity. Someday my son, it is going to be you who does all the hard work and it is going to be you who leads the town. Today you become eleven, your life changes from now on you will know about our history and how we got to this place” Bruce listened carefully and silently to his father until he finished his speech to say that he was the one to be depend on, but his father didn’t let him say anything until he actually understand the hard work that is coming for him. Wayne finished his speech and looked at his son saying “after climbing this huge mountain you were tired but so happy. I don’t think you would like it if you fall off this mountain after all this hard work. I want you to think well about what I told, because I want you to be ready when I need you, because someday everybody is going to need you not only me”.

Bruce went back home with his father, and had a hard time sleeping that night until finally sleeping.

The next day, Martha, Bruce’s mom wakes him up early saying he must be ready for the hard work. Bruce didn’t understand, since his father told that actual work will not start until he becomes at least 14 or even 15. He wakes up, gets ready, and hurry’s to his father outside of the house who was waiting for him. Bruce ran to his father with a confused face. Wayne says in a happy manner “don’t worry son we are just going on a walk around the town, to show and tell you how your work will be and have a nice talk about your decision, I know you made your choice, it was a long night wasn’t it?”. Bruce and his father started walking and talking. Wayne was showing Bruce places that he never seen and he explained what happened in every place. Bruce was shocked and happy to see these places. They both went back after a long walk to find the launch ready. Everybody was there his mother and both of his brothers who were at work. Robin who was a blacksmith, and mike who was a hunter. They all finished launch and looked at Bruce, he knew what they were waiting for since he witnessed both of his brothers do the same thing. So he stood up and said “I know what you are waiting for but I think I have something else to say. I chose that I should start doing actual work from now and my decision is finalized” everyone looked shocked since he was young to do the work he is supposed but they knew they couldn’t do anything, because rules prevent them of choosing for each other. Wayne smiled and said proudly “then you start tomorrow young man”.

Wayne said that he wanted take Bruce to the city to see what it looks like as present for his very weird decision. On the next morning Bruce woke up excited and happy as never seen before since he heard so many good things about the city. They both headed to the train station headed to the city. After 6 hours they finally arrived to the city. Wayne took his son to the boxing match since boxing was the major sport in the city. Bruce watched intensively as the two competitive walked in the ring each filled with big and strong muscles, they were tall, huge, bald, and looked scary in his opinion. The bell rings and both of the men start fighting. Strong punches everywhere left him in shock. He was wondering how could they bear their pain and keep fighting until someone loses. Bruce told his father he didn’t like the city that much, it wasn’t better than their town, but he liked the boxing match so much that he wanted it to be played in the town as a regular sport, but he knew that it was impossible since the town had its own regular sport which he didn’t like. After the journey to the city ended they both headed back home for Bruce’s first day at the job. They both arrived safely home for the special day. The next morning Bruce woke up, got ready, and went to his dad to get his first job. He got an easy job for the first day which was going with one of his brothers to their job, but jobs got harder and harder every day, and he starting working out daily since he wanted to have a body like the ones he saw in that boxing match. But there was one thing, the atterberrys; they kept creating stories and ways to accuse Bruce and his family of being qualified to be the leaders and once again bring back the story they are not the actual leaders historically.

Years passed and Bruce became a man. It is his eighteenth birthday. Today he becomes officially an independent man. Today he chooses his own job he wants to work in. the party starts and all the towns’ people are here to celebrate and congratulate him. He feels proud of himself; it is finally the day he was waiting for. The party finished and Bruce as usual had made his choice. He has chosen to be the judge of the town and the head of the police department that he had created when he was 17 years old. Everyone cheered and congratulated him. Bruce didn’t have any problem regarding that he would be the judge of the town, because everyone in the town knows he is wise, even the atterberrys do. Bruce after all these years of workout he has a great muscular body so he fits the job of being the head of the police department. Since he is going to need his physicality, because he chose to do the normal police officer job too.

Weeks passed and Bruce didn’t have any conflicts regarding his jobs, but he didn’t know that in the meantime he was considered as the biggest threat to the atterberrys, and that they are planning a way to get rid of him. He was considered the biggest threat, because by the look of their family he is the most likely to be the leader after his father. The atterberrys made Bruce their first priority.

Two weeks gone and Bruce still is having the best time doing his job. The atterberrys, on the other side, have succeeded in their mission, and their mission was immediately initiated. The atterberrys sent invitations to all the people of the town to come to their party which was supposed to be peace agreement between them and Bruce’s family. At 6 in the evening everybody was there, the party started, music was played, people danced, and Bruce’s family was there too. As the head of the police department, Bruce had to go and talk with the Atterberrys and help them with any problem. But the leader of the Atterberrys took Bruce and 10 other people who were considered as the leaders of each family in the town to a meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to establish the idea of digging for gold and coal since they have found some when searching beside the mountain, everybody was happy about it, and Bruce was too, but he said that they should have spoken to his family before doing a research so important like this one, and stated that he wasn’t angry about and there is no problem in it. The Atterberry’s leader then took all the other leaders to Wayne the actual leader of the town and asked Bruce to stay there and keep it secure. Bruce was happy to stay. 15 minutes gone and all the family leaders of the town including Wayne come back to the meeting room to finally establish the start of digging, and to show Wayne their gold and coal. The atterberrys leader asks Bruce as they enter if anybody entered the room other than him in their absence, and Bruce answered with no. all the leaders settle down and wait for the official announcement.

The atterberrys leader starts with his speech and opens the drawer to grab the gold out and he suddenly stops with a shock on his face. The leaders hurry to him to see what the problem is, and they find out that it is not there. Neither the gold nor the coal was there. All the leaders stop and look at Bruce and ask him again if someone else entered the room and says that no one entered it but he didn’t steel it. Wayne with an angry tone says you are the one who took them until there is evidence that prove this wrong. All the other leaders accuse him except one who was his friend, he said that Bruce could never do something like that, but there was no evidence of that. Bruce was then taken to the stage to be sentenced for his guilt. And Wayne was the one to do so. He said loudly to all the audience “today one of our family stole and that is not from our traits, from now on you are not one of us mr. Bruce and your punishment is that you are to be thrown out of the town and to never come back to the town for ten years and. Your punishment starts tomorrow. Bruce kept asking for forgiveness from his father he wanted him to believe him, he didn’t do it, but his father ignored him, and so did all his family and all of the people of the town. He just wanted one person to believe him, but no one did except that one leader and his sister who were his friends. Bruce couldn’t sleep that night and he didn’t want to see the look on his parents and brothers when they throw him out, so he decided to away from now, and he did. The next morning all the people assembled to throw Bruce out of the town but he wasn’t there they start to look for him, but they stop when the Bruce’s only friend says he is gone. No one knew where he went, but no one cared as they all hated him for what he did.
